GNOMAD — GNOMAD’s Not On My Actual Desk

The desktop
isn’t a place.

Your Ubuntu desktop, from your iPhone. GNOMAD brings a native-feeling way in, then gets out of the way when it’s time to use your machine.

In development · No App Store download yet · Your computer stays yours

01 / The idea

Your computer doesn’t have to stay at your desk.

GNOMAD is a mobile-first way to reach the Ubuntu computer you already own. It isn’t an operating system in your pocket, and it doesn’t move your files to somebody else’s cloud. Your machine is the destination; your phone is the way in.

02 / The experience

A better way in.
Less in the way.

BUILT AROUND YOUR DESKTOP

01 / CONNECT

Know where you’re going.

A native-feeling connection dashboard keeps your saved machine and connection controls close. The goal is to get you to your desktop quickly, without making setup the destination.

02 / WORK

Let the desktop lead.

Once you’re in, the remote desktop gets the screen. GNOMAD’s compact session control is designed to stay reachable without turning into a permanent toolbar over your work.

03 / EXTEND

More when you need it.

Basic RDP does not require extra host software. An optional Ubuntu companion adds a path to app discovery, files, and terminal features where supported.

THE LIVING TERMINAL

Not a new computer.
A new way to yours.

03 / The boundaries

Built for the real thing.

GNOMAD is being developed for iPhone and Ubuntu first. Connection happens on your local network or a VPN you manage; it is not a public remote-access relay.
